When does support end for your SQL Server?
Every SQL Server version, the date security updates stop, and how many days are left. The database keeps running after that date, but new vulnerabilities are never fixed again.

What end of support means
- /Microsoft stops releasing security updates and fixes. Vulnerabilities discovered after that date stay open for good.
- /Nothing switches off on that day. That is exactly why it is easy to put off, and why an unsupported system becomes an easier target every month.
- /Insurers, auditors and large customers increasingly ask whether you run unsupported systems.
